Humberside County Bowling Association

Greetings to you all,

As HCBA President for 2024, I am writing to welcome you all to the new outdoor season which will soon be upon us. 

I cannot believe how quickly the seasons have come around, it only seems like yesterday when I was last President but believe it or not this was year 2020 / 2021.

Being a bowler for many years, I have seen some changes, some good and some not so good, but I do think we are moving in the right direction to be able to bring the youth into the game of bowls, this year see’s changes to the Adams and Newton competitions in the Northern section, I am sure this is a good step forward.

I look forward to fulfilling my role as Humberside County President, as the President I want to make a commitment to the whole of Humberside County Bowling Association's, Men's and Ladies that I will try my very best to attend all county competitions.

I am very proud to call myself Humberside County President and serve you all, I am hoping for a very successful bowling season both indoor and outdoor with many national champions to add to our already successful county.

I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all greenkeepers and helpers who do sterling work (including in the winter months) to ensure that the wonderful game of bowls can be played in Humberside.

I look forward to seeing you all at some point in my presidential year.
